Group Swim Lessons (ages 2 and up)
Levels - Beginner to Advanced (classes grouped based on ability)
Description- These small group classes (3-5 swimmers) are devoted to teaching your child how to swim based on their abilities, experience and personality. Depending on skill level, your child will learn basic to advanced skills, including: bubbles, independent kicking, what to do if they fall in the water alone, jumping to instructor, pushing off of the wall independently, floating on stomach and back, independent breathing, freestyle technique, backstroke technique, breaststroke technique, butterfly technique, endurance, diving, and a joy for swimming and the water.
Private Swim Lessons
Levels- Beginner to advanced
4 30-minute lessons - $80 $100
6 30 minute lessons - $115 $135
8 30 minute lessons - $145 $165
12 30 minute lessons - $215 $235
Description- These lessons are perfect for swimmers who can already swim but need technique work on certain areas such as better technique for the 4 strokes, diving, flip turns, open turns, or otherwise. Private lessons are also ideal for parents who want their child to learn to swim more quickly, whose children have special needs, or whose children just need a little extra attention and focus during their learning time.
Adult Swim Lessons

Description- It's never too late to learn how to swim or brush up on your swimming skills! These private lessons are catered to the needs of adults, whether you are overcoming your fear for the water for the first time or you are training for a marathon, we can teach you the best methods and skills for reaching your goals.

Head Coaches Kaitlyn Strecker and Julia Liljeberg are available for swim lessons this summer. Lessons are available to all ages and abilities, from learn-to-swim to stroke technique lessons, for members and non-members alike. If you have any questions or would like to register, feel free to contact the coaches directly.
Swim/dive team sign up is on Sunday, April 28th from 2-4. Come meet the coaches and order your GACC swim suit.
Coach Kaitlyn Strecker is a GACC alumni and former GACC Assistant Coach! She first began competitive swimming with CCSC and then swam for Mount Carmel Academy during high school. She has had experience with swimmers of all ages and abilities and has been a learn to swim instructor while coaching at GACC.
Coach Kaitlyn is currently a 2nd grade teacher in Jefferson Parish. She earned her degree in education from LSU. In the fall, she will begin the Master’s program at LSU for Education Leadership.
Coach Julia Liljeberg is a GACC alumni. She started her swimming career at age 5 at GACC. She swam for CCSC, Storm, and Southern Louisiana Swim Team. For 5 years, she swam for Mount Carmel Academy, and was a captain her senior year. She has experience with swimmers of all ages, and has been doing swim lessons with younger children for the past 4 years with Southern Louisiana Swim Team.
Coach Julia is currently a junior at LSU and a member of Delta Gamma. She is also a member of Phi Sigma Phi Honor Fraternity and is the Kinesiology Club president. She is a Kinesiology major with a minor in Psychology. She is currently working at the Physical Therapy Center in Baton Rouge. She loves spending time with her family and being in the pool. Julia is excited to be the assistant coach for the team that means so much to her.

Fortunato has a long history in many different areas related to diving and swimming. His connection to diving began at Pontchartrain Beach where he first began diving into the waters of Lake Pontchartrain and led him to diving at hotels and swim clubs around the city. He trained at Loyola while also helping young kids learn how to dive. He is a figure skater, gymnast and Acro sports. He has been working at Crescent City Gymnastics teaching Acro and is now looking to return to what got him started, teaching young kids how to dive. He is excited to offer the Green Acres Dive team his experience.
